How We Review Products

GreenerPods collects product information and reviews and uses AI to help identify pros, cons, and conflicting claims. AI output is a research aid, not evidence by itself. An individual article should identify the particular sources it used; these may include manufacturer specifications or manuals, independent reporting, and customer feedback where available.

Research-based analysis is different from a documented hands-on test. New or substantially revised articles should identify their evidence basis and should not claim that GreenerPods bought, owned, installed, measured, or used a product unless records support that claim. Manufacturer specifications are stated claims, not independently measured results; reported customer experiences are not our own tests.

What we compare

For new or substantially revised reviews, the comparison should start with the buyer’s use case: growing space, light, crop type, setup burden, ongoing supplies, reliability, and total cost. Where the evidence permits, each article should compare products on consistent criteria and explain who a recommendation suits, its advantages, meaningful trade-offs, and alternatives.

How AI supports the work

AI helps organize collected data and reviews and surface possible pros, cons, and conflicts. For new reviews, material claims should be checked against original sources before publication. AI summaries can miss context or mix product variants; a review should say when independent evidence or long-term data is thin.

What a recommendation means

The editorial standard is constructive but evidence-weighted, not a predetermined positive verdict. Material concerns about safety, reliability, performance, ongoing cost, or availability should appear next to a recommendation even if they make a product less attractive. A promising specification is not proof of real-world performance.

For new or substantially revised reviews, a numerical score or cost-per-harvest estimate should appear only when its product-specific inputs, calculation, and uncertainty can be shown. Prices and availability change; readers should check the current merchant listing.

Sources, corrections, and affiliate links

New or substantially updated reviews should identify material source links and the date checked. Customer-review themes need context about sample size, selection bias, product variants, and review dates; a few anecdotes cannot establish a failure rate. When stronger evidence or a product change alters a conclusion, the affected article should be updated or corrected.

Some links may be affiliate links. GreenerPods may receive a commission on qualifying purchases. Under this editorial policy, commercial arrangements must not determine recommendations, and a plain-language notice must appear before the first commercial link on each article. This policy page alone does not verify disclosure placement on older articles.

About older articles

Older articles may contain hands-on language or scoring methods that differ from this policy. Each material claim and calculation should be evaluated against its original records and sources before a correction is made. The absence of a readily available source ledger does not prove that underlying records do not exist. This page does not certify historical reviews as having followed the current standard.
