Privacy Policy & Terms

Effective date: Sept 27, 2026

This policy explains what information GreenerPods collects when you visit greenerpods.com or subscribe to our newsletter, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

GreenerPods.com (“GreenerPods,” “we,” “us”) is operated by NoFUD Inc., Florida, 2980 McFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133. We publish guides and comparisons of indoor gardening and hydroponic products. We don’t sell products. When you buy something through a link on our site, you buy it from the merchant, and the merchant’s own privacy policy covers that purchase.

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@greenerpods.com.

What this policy covers

This policy covers greenerpods.com and our newsletter. It does not cover merchant websites, affiliate networks, or social media platforms you reach from our site. Those companies have their own policies.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We and our partners use them, along with pixels and server logs, for the purposes below.

TypeWhat it doesSet byNeeds your consent in the EU/UK
EssentialKeeps the site working and secure, and remembers your cookie choicesGreenerPods and our hosting providerNo
AnalyticsCounts visits and shows how people use the siteGoogle Analytics 4Yes
Cookieless analyticsCounts visits without cookies or persistent identifiersAhrefsNo
Affiliate trackingRecords that we referred you to a merchant, so we can be paid a commissionAffiliate networks and merchantsYes, for any tracking code that runs on our pages

Visitors in the EU, EEA and UK see a consent banner. Analytics cookies and affiliate tracking code on our pages don’t run until you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, where visitors come from, and what to improve. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects device and usage data, including your IP address, which Google uses to estimate your general location. We have not enabled Google Analytics advertising features, and we don’t use analytics data to show you ads. [Keep this sentence only if Google signals and ads personalization are off.]

Google processes this data under its own terms. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting your data on any site with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We also use Ahrefs, which produces aggregate visit counts without cookies, and Google Search Console, which gives us aggregate data about how our pages appear in Google search results. Search Console doesn’t place anything on your device through our site.

Affiliate links

Some links on GreenerPods are affiliate links. When you click one and then buy something, the merchant pays us a commission. You don’t pay more because of it.

For this to work, the link passes a referral identifier to the merchant, usually through affiliate networks such as Impact, CJ Affiliate, Awin, ShareASale, Refersion or UpPromote, or through a merchant’s own program. The network or merchant then typically places a cookie in your browser on their site. That cookie tells them GreenerPods referred you if you buy within a set period, often 1 to 90 days depending on the program.

Those cookies are set and controlled by the network or merchant, under their privacy policies. We receive reports of clicks, purchases and commissions from them. We use those reports to get paid and to see which guides are useful. Some networks also let us add a tracking pixel or script to our pages; where we do, it follows the consent rules above.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • run the site, keep it secure, and fix problems
  • measure traffic and learn which guides and pages to improve
  • track affiliate referrals so we’re paid commissions
  • send the newsletter to people who asked for it
  • answer messages and moderate comments
  • comply with the law and protect our rights

We don’t sell email addresses, and we don’t use your information to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Newsletter

We only email you if you sign up. Signup uses a confirmation email, and you’re subscribed only after you confirm. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email hello@greenerpods.com to be removed. After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list so we don’t email you again by mistake.

The newsletter is sent through MailerLite, which stores your email address and records whether you open emails or click links in them. We use that information to see what subscribers find useful and to remove inactive addresses.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any email.
  • Change cookie choices with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or block cookies in your browser.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for that browser.

Rights for US residents

Depending on your state, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and others with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we have about you and get a copy
  • correct inaccurate information
  • delete your information
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, and of targeted advertising
  • appeal if we deny your request
  • not be treated differently for using these rights

In the past 12 months we collected these categories of personal information, as defined by California law: identifiers (email address, IP address, cookie IDs); internet or network activity (pages viewed, clicks, referring site); approximate geolocation; and commercial information (purchases credited to our referrals). We collected them from the sources and for the purposes described above. We don’t collect sensitive personal information.

We don’t sell personal information for money. However, letting Google Analytics and affiliate networks collect identifiers and browsing activity through our site may count as “sharing” or “selling” under California law, or “targeted advertising” under other state laws. To opt out, use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer, which turns off that tracking in your browser, or turn on Global Privacy Control. We don’t knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.

To make any other request, email [CONTACT EMAIL] with the subject “Privacy request” and tell us your state. We’ll confirm your request by email, and we may ask for information to verify it’s you. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission. We’ll respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject “Appeal,” and we’ll respond within the time your state’s law allows.
